Agency Director: Andrea Jones-Shiver

Andrea Jones-Shiver is the owner and director of First Coast Talent Agency. She began her entertainment career in the cruise industry with Premier Cruise Line (the official cruise line of Walt Disney World). She worked within the cruise staff, youth activities, and shore excursion departments. During her years at sea, Andrea served as Social Hostess, Shore Excursion Manager and Assistant Cruise Director onboard all of Premier Cruise Line's vessels. Ms. Jones-Shiver was a member of the original cruise staff team to bring out two newly acquired vessels: the S.S. Atlantic and the S.S. Majestic. Andrea played an integral role in creating and implementing each new ship's programming, entertainment and activities.

After six stellar years with Premier Cruise Line, Andrea relocated to North Florida and utilized her experience in the cruise industry, as a consultant and Cruise Director, for Emerald Princess Cruise Line. Ms. Jones-Shiver was responsible for training existing cruise staff and new hires. Her skills were further put to use by Emerald Princess to devise and implement onboard revenue increasing activities and entertainment.

In 1998, Andrea created First Coast Talent Agency, establishing it as North East Florida's premier talent agency. The Agency has since expanded to cover Gainesville, FL; Tallahassee, FL; and Savannah, GA markets, with further East Coast expansion in the works.


 

Public Relations/Communication: Laura Morey

In addition to her acting career, Laura Morey has been a public relations practitioner for more than 17 years. A graduate of Boston University's College of Communications, Laura has created and managed communications plans for clients in a variety of industries, on both regional and national levels. Laura is accredited by the Public Relations Society of America (APR). She has been represented by First Coast Talent Agency since December 2006.

 


 

Advisory Board: Dave Anthony

Dave Anthony's entrance to the entertainment industry began as a radio personality in Las Vegas, Phoenix, Houston, Denver, Minneapolis, San Francisco, and other major cities before advancing up to the responsibilities of Program Director for radio stations owned by CBS, Doubleday, Metromedia, and more.

Combined with concert experience as Rock and Jazz musician, Dave co-founded the Minnesota Music Academy, which was established during the Prince era to foster new recording talent. Over the years, countless radio and TV commercials featured Dave's voice for major brands nationally and regionally.

Currently, Dave Anthony is the promo voice of the Golf Channel in over 100 million households internationally, as well as on-camera talent for national and regional TV commercials, training films, and documentaries for many major corporations. Besides radio and TV, Dave has appeared in films starring John Travolta, Kevin Spacey, James Gandolfini, Salma Hayek, Ed Begley Jr., James Caan Jr., and others.


 

Advisory Board: Michelle Miller

Michelle Miller has been performing for over 20 years, both on and off stage. In her younger year, she traveled nationwide with her parents gospel music group. Her musical highlights include performances with the American Music Jubilee Theater, PGA Tour, Jacksonville Jaguars, Jerry Lewis Telethon, Orlando Magic, and for several political dignitaries and events. She remains involved with many studio recordings, corporate events, and has thoroughly enjoyed the release of her Christmas CD.

As no stranger to the pageant community, she holds several titles, including Jacksonville MISS TEEN, Florida MISS TEEN, Miss Florida Community College at Jacksonville, Florida; Azalea Queen and winner of several area talent/variety shows. As a certified judge with the Miss America Scholarship Program, she now enjoys judging, as well as privately coaching individuals.

When Michelle isn't on stage, she enjoys recording voice-overs and filming commercials and corporate films. Some commercials include Stewart Lighting One, Kossack Companies, Pearce's Furniture of Southeast Georgia, Florida's Bureau of Unclaimed Property, and St. John's County Tourism & Visitor's Bureau.


 

Advisory Board: Scott Smith

Scott Smith has been with First Coast Talent Agency since its inception in 1998, and since then has appeared in local and national commercials including Design Works Interiors, industrial films, television programs such as "The New Detectives", "America's Most Wanted", and a principal role in the HBO production "Recount" filmed in Jacksonville in 2007.

Scott's acting resume also includes extensive theatre experience having performed in over forty professional and community theatre productions, including a dozen plays with the Atlantic Shakespeare Company, as well as directing over forty interactive comedies for the Murder Mystery Players, Inc.


Webmaster: Desiree Markella

Starting her career with a solid foundation in theatre during her college years, Desiree has been acting professionally in TV and film since 2004. She has been accredited with roles on tv shows and films such as Death Sentence, starring Kevin Bacon, and Lifetime's hit series Army Wives.

Desiree also designs websites professionally, focusing mostly on the entertainment business, providing fellow actors, musicians, etc an affordable means of obtaining a professional presence on the net. Her business site is www.FishNetCreations.com

Representation

First Coast Talent is proud of the talent that we represent. We maintain a select group of actors who are professionally trained and experienced. We have an exclusive agreement with actors in the greater Jacksonville area, but actors signed with First Coast Talent may have representation with agencies outside of the local area and in other states. Actors signed with First Coast Talent must be available at any time for auditions and may require travel.

We welcome your submission for representation if you are an actor who has a resume including: on-camera principal work and/or has a college degree in Acting, Theatre or related majors. Please mail ( via USPS) a headshot, demo reel and resume to our Jacksonville headquarters:
